Florida Part I : Getting There

After R left on Easter Sunday, the boys and I suffered through 3 days of vacation anticipation, knowing that he was already there in the sun (albeit in meetings all day). Luckily, R's presentation went really well, so by the time we arrived he was in good spirits.

We left early Thursday morning (thank you SWA for FINALLY coming to Boston Logan Airport AND Melanie for dropping us off).
In spite of
a) having to fly through St. Louis (yes, that is the wrong way),
b) being outnumbered 2:1,
c) no napping,
and
d) not having properly charged the DVD player battery,
we survived the flights, barely.

There were no major meltdowns, and aside from some spilled juice and really expensive dry and hard bagels, we managed to do okay. The highlight of the trip for the boys was the gum that I bought to help with their ears. Watermelon was a big hit. D-man ate 2 pieces before he finally figured out how to chew without swallowing, but no permanent damage done. They both liked take-off (GO FAST!) and landing (tickling tummies) the best.

We were relieved to finally land and find daddy, who whisked us off to the hotel and quickly into the pool! Hurray! Our room had 3 beds, so the boys each had their own.

D-man was so proud to be in a big-boy bed,
and fell asleep both nights while the rest of us were still getting ready.
Mr. B was soon to follow.

Okay, not really. He was faking, but said he wanted a picture, too.

We were so excited to start our vacation. Now that the stress of solo traveling was over, I was ready to enjoy.
