So we set out to 1079 Trapelo Road, built around 1770, and kept in the family until not that long ago (with a great backyard and well-maintained structure, we'd be happy to claim it now!). Here is a side/rear view of the house with my cutie--
Next we headed to Bow Street, but were disappointed when we encountered this:
I think we may need some permission to try to find some foundation remains further down the trail.....
Then on to Shady Pond Conservation Area (formerly known as the Sam Stearns Woodlot--famous for good hunting, apparently). It is quite a large area and very beautiful even pre-spring, but kind of hard to access. We did our best....
We had a great time exploring and thinking how cool it is that we live so close to where our family lived 7 and 8 generations ago--and that our street is named after them!
