We drove home from preschool with the windows down. (i must add that the minivan sliding door windows roll down, how cool is that? no more 1/2-inch gap pop-out window. and the sunroof? awesome.)
The boys were so thrilled to be outside we hung out on the patio for a while, playing in the snow without needing gloves, hats, or coats. D-man has invented a game where he picks up big ice chunks and takes them over to throw them behind the barbecue. Here's a video of them--sorry it's a little long, I was so happy watching my boys be happy....
We followed our playtime with an impromptu pizza picnic with heart cookies for dessert. It was so great to feel the sun on our faces. Mr. B said "Mom, winter is tricky." Snow, sun, leftover leaves from fall; he's exactly right--what season is it?
We like tricky.
It reminds us that spring really will come...
...sometime.
