On Wednesday we drove north for some visiting. Spent the morning at my sister's house with her kids. The cousins had a great time in the backyard pool, jumping on the trampoline, eating popsicles, and getting reacquainted.
In the afternoon we joined R's sister and her family for a birthday celebration for Talmage. What a lot of boys there were running around! It was so fun for our boys to be around more cousins. And they are a great age for traveling--I don't have to follow them around the house making sure they are okay! We also joined their family a few days later to celebrate Talmage's baptism and visit with all of the Holt cousins.
I was lucky during our stay to have a few friends stop by to visit. Daija and her family moved away from Boston in the Spring, and were down in SLC visiting some of their family, so she and her cute little guy came over. And Tiffany, a friend from Washington, brought her cute kiddies to play one morning, also. It was great to catch up with both of them, and so fun to see their kids! We also ran into a friend at the library, and were so glad to be able to see her and her beautiful girls while we were in town!
And my SIL Shauna was in town, too! They just moved to Ohio, but she was back for her sister's wedding. We were so glad to finally meet cute Nathan, who we had heard so much about!
We took the boys one afternoon to visit R's grandparents. After the initial dog-fright (yes, the boys learn that from me), we had a great visit! It was so fun to share our baby news with them in person. They were excited to hear about our girl! We sure miss getting to see them more, and were so glad to catch an afternoon on the porch together.
We also had some visits from many of my cousins--from both sides. It was so fun to catch up with many of them and see how big their kids are getting!
