We got the tickets through R's work, so we were seated with other engineers in the "family section." That mostly means no alcohol, which was fabulous. It was funny to see so many men who looked uncomfortable in a t-shirt. :) You could tell that was not their usual wardrobe choice.
We were lucky enough to be just under the overhang so we didn't get wet from the mist/rain of the evening. It was a fabulous game with a very exciting 5th inning. Had we been there the night before, we would have seen Youkilis charge the mound, but we also would have had to put up with rain delays, so we were happy with our choice.
We had a great evening together, and enjoyed discussing why baseball is America's Favorite Pastime, and not America's Favorite Sport.... :) R also thoroughly enjoyed the food for sale outside the stadium. Worth every penny.
Here are some pictures.
Next time we'll have to remember to turn around and take the picture with the field behind us, and tip our heads down to see the B hats, so we know where we are!
R and the Green Monster
We also picked up some souvenirs for the boys. Inflatable toys are great for brothers who like to fight. :)
Go Sox! Nothin' like a good fenway park game singin' sweet caroline and eating highly overpriced treats! ahhhh....that's the life. ps i love mr b's 'angry eyes'.
